‘Looking to the Future of Probation:’ Registration for PCA Conference 2014 now open

PCA are pleased to announce that registration is now open for our annual Conference, which will take place at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester on 24 January.

This year’s Conference, entitled Looking to the Future of Probation, is organised against the backdrop of the ‘Transforming Rehabilitation’ reforms, with a dynamic mix of plenary sessions and workshops designed to explore how things will work under the future arrangements, and we welcome attendance from individuals from other interested organisations across the private, public and voluntary sectors.

Jeremy Wright, Minister for Prisons & Probation, is expected to speak, and there will be an opportunity to hear a perspective from the office of HM Inspectorate of Probation.  Alongside this, we will be discussing the development of the Probation Institute, a joint venture between PCA, PA, NAPO and UNISON, and explore the scope and purpose that the Institute will have in the new world.

The latest version of the Conference Programme, which includes details of all the workshops and plenary sessions, can be viewed here

As with previous Conferences, we aim to make this event self-financing, and the cost of attending is set at £200.

Please contact Catherine Sinclair-Jones (pcaadmin@localhost) to register your application for a place on this Conference.  Spaces are limited, and we would urge you to register early to avoid disappointment.
