The PCA would like to highlight the achievement of Merseyside Probation Trust for being selected as a finalist in the British Quality Foundation’s ‘Recognised for Excellence Awards 2012’. The UK Excellence Award is one of the highest accolades any organisation in the UK can achieve. Launched in 1994, it recognises organisations which have demonstrated excellence in all areas of operation.
Entrants for the award are assessed against the EFQM Excellence Model, Europe’s leading management framework. It enables organisations to assess their degree of excellence, and helps them to understand their key strengths and the areas in which they need to improve.
Merseyside Probation Trust is proud to be the only public sector agency ever to have succeeded in becoming a finalist for this award, and is up against four other finalists, namely:
- First Transpennine Express
- Interserve Construction Ltd
- Northern Rail
- Wherry Housing Association
The winners will be announced at the 2012 UK Excellence Award ceremony in London on Thursday 25 October 2012 by the Foundation’s patron, HRH The Princess Royal.
