PCA Chair Sue Hall repudiates a misleading headline in the Times, ‘Fears for Public Safety as Probation Rules are Eased’, published (7 March), that accompanied an article about the easing of highly prescriptive national standards upon the probation service.
Members of the PCA from England and Wales gathered together in York for the PCA Annual Conference 3-4 March 2011. The keynote speaker was the Rt. Rev James Jones, Lord Bishop of Liverpool and Bishop for prisons in England and Wales, who holds probation within his brief.
